What is an EV fast Charger?

An EV fast charger is a type of charger that can charge electric vehicles rapidly. EVs are typically charged using a slower, “level 2” charger, which can take up to 12 hours to charge an electric vehicle from empty. Level 2 chargers can provide up to 80% of a car’s battery capacity in just 30 minutes. EV fast charger can significantly reduce charging time, making them ideal for long-distance travel.

EV fast chargers use a much faster “level 3” charging system. Level 3 chargers can provide up to 150% of a car’s battery capacity in just 40 minutes.

Why buy one?

1. To save money on fuel costs:

An EV Fast Charger can dramatically reduce your gasoline expenses by providing the necessary power to charge your EV while you’re on the go.  A study by the California Air Resources Board found that a driver who charges their EV at home using a Level 2 charger saves $457 in annual fuel costs compared to driving with an average gas tank.

2. To decrease your environmental impact:

An EV Fast Charger can help offset some of the emissions from your vehicle by allowing you to recharge while you’re away from the grid. By charging at home or work, you’re reducing reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to climate change neutrality.

3. To support sustainable transportation:

EVs are becoming increasingly popular for a reason: they’re sustainable and environmentally friendly. By using an EV Fast Charger, you can take advantage of these benefits and help promote a more responsible future for transportation.
